THE HACK: WIN 10 KILLS SHIPPING
Shipping costs eat your profit on small wins, so we wiped them out.
The Rule: Win 10 or more card lots* in a single auction, and your shipping fee is $0.
Collector-Grade Handling: Every win, from a $1 parallel to a vintage Chase card is packaged to ensure it arrives as pictured.
The Strategy: Target your Chase cards and “pad” your cart from our many Cross-Era Trading Cards.
The Math: Winning several $1 cards to hit the 10-item threshold can be cheaper than paying for shipping on your main Chase cards.
Bid with your head to save yourself from “bidder’s remorse”: Professional auctions carry a 20% Buyer’s Premium. To stay on budget during a 15-second sprint, calculate your “All-In” price before you click. If your total budget for a card is $50, stop bidding when the live price hits $41.
THE PACE: 15-SECOND RAPID STAGGER
Think of this as a “silent” Whatnot show. It moves quick, so stay ready.
The Sprint: Starting at 7:00 PM EST, the first card closes. The catalog clears fast with one lot every 15 seconds.
Anti-Sniping: Any bid placed in the final seconds resets that specific clock 60 seconds. This gives you a fair shot to monitor your bids and watched lots to counter-bid without getting sniped by a bot or browser lag at the last millisecond.
The Catalog Page View (CRITICAL): At 7:00 PM, be sure to click the “Live Catalog” button. A standard catalog page does not sync in real-time; if you aren’t in the Live View, the clock will fake you out.
THE HOW: RUN YOUR COMPS & SHOOT
Verified Registration: Create your account on the HiBid Palm Beach Collection site early. HiBid performs a credit card authorization to verify your identity; don’t let the payment method setup time keep you out.
The Saturday Pivot: At 7:00 PM sharp on auction night, as the Vault begins to auction off the first lot, any NEW catalog is also opening for next scheduled auction pre-bidding.
The “Pre-Game”: Use all the time prior to any auction night to browse the catalog and build your “Watch List.” This allows you to track specific cards without scrolling the entire catalog during the Saturday 15-SECOND STAGGER SPRINT event.
Max Bidding: Set your “Max Bids” early on Chase cards. Just like eBay, HiBid’s engine will automatically bid for you in the smallest increments possible to keep you in the lead up to your limit.
The Sweep: Once it’s hammer-time, monitor your “Bids” tab in real-time. Green means you’re winning; Red means you’ve been outbid.
*BULK BONUS PROMOTION TERMS: Eligibility: Win 10 or more individual Catalog Lot Numbers to qualify for free shipping and handling. (A single lot number counts as one qualifying win, regardless of the number of loose cards in the lot).
Exclusions: Sealed packs, boxes, factory sets, sports memorabilia, and oversized/fragile collectibles are excluded. If an order contains any of these excluded items, such items are ineligible for the Free Shipping Promotion, will be invoiced separately, and standard rates will apply.
